Claire carefully roasted four chicken legs, but was accused of being selfish by her son because she ate one herself, while her husband Matt condoned and acquiesced throughout. She suddenly realized that her years of dedication had been taken for granted, that her husband had long belittled her and portrayed her as the family villain, and that her son had been taught to look down on his mother.
